About AmaTisMo

AmaTisMo is an inclusive visual novel focused on mental health, the struggle with depression, and the journey toward self-love. Designed from the ground up to be fully accessible for blind players, AmaTisMo combines a powerful narrative with screen reader support, keyboard navigation, and audio descriptions.

This passion project was born from the desire to tell a deep story accessible to all. Although the game is currently in development and wasn't originally created for the "Games for Blind Gamers" jam, we decided to participate by submitting this early Alpha build to gather feedback.

Mental Health Focus A compassionate narrative about depression, self-acceptance, and the path to self-love.
Fully Accessible Designed from the ground up with screen reader support, keyboard navigation, and audio descriptions.
Original Soundtrack A beautiful orchestral and piano score composed exclusively for the game by Michael Lückgen.

The Game

A visual novel where every choice matters - and the game remembers.

Meet Amatista

You play as Amatista, a young woman trapped in depressive isolation. When an unexpected event forces her out of her apartment, she begins a journey she never asked for - one that will challenge everything she believes about herself and the world around her.

3 Acts
10 Chapters
5 Endings

Your Decisions Shape the Story

Every dialogue choice, every action, every moment of hesitation feeds into a branching decision system. The path through Amatista's journey is yours to define - and there is no single "right" answer.

The Game Remembers

Characters react to your past choices. Relationships evolve based on how you treat people. The world shifts around Amatista depending on the decisions you've made - sometimes in ways you won't expect until much later.

The Team

AmaTisMo started with nothing but a dream and a $0 budget. MirisTalesArt and Enrique came together with a shared vision: to create an inclusive visual novel that tells a meaningful story about mental health - accessible to everyone, including blind players.

What began as a two-person passion project grew when Michael Lückgen joined to compose an original orchestral and piano soundtrack, bringing the emotional world of Amatista to life through music. Together, this small indie team is proving that you don't need a big budget to make something that matters.

Original Soundtrack

Born in Dormagen, Germany in 1989, Michael Lückgen has harbored a passion for music since childhood. He began his musical journey by taking piano lessons at a young age. Although he's primarily self-taught in composition, his natural talent and dedication have led him to create music in the orchestral, cinematic, and classic Hollywood styles. Notably, he has had the rewarding experience of collaborating with a real orchestra and witnessing his music come to life during a live performance. Beyond music, Michael holds a lifelong fascination with point-and-click adventure games, a love affair that began with the iconic "Monkey Island." The genre continues to inspire him to this day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Accessibility, choices, sensitive-content notices, platforms, and pricing.

What accessibility options will AmaTisMo include?

AmaTisMo is designed to be playable by as many people as possible: screen reader support for blind players, subtitles and visual support for deaf players, easier reading options for dyslexic players, and full control with mouse, keyboard, or gamepad.

How does the choice system work?

Important decisions can add points or give 0, but they never subtract points or force you to go backward. There are also narrative choices that do not affect score and exist to make the experience more immersive. Based on your total points, you will reach one of 5 endings: 2 bad, 1 neutral, and 2 good.

Will there be sensitive content warnings?

Yes. The game will include sensitive-content warnings so players can prepare before difficult scenes.

Are there color-based puzzles or mechanics?

No. AmaTisMo focuses on story and decisions, with no mandatory color-based puzzles. Even though the illustrations are not specifically adapted for color blindness, progression does not depend on distinguishing colors.

What platforms will it be available on?

AmaTisMo has a Steam Coming Soon page and will also be available on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. The free alpha is available on itch.io.

Is it free?

The alpha demo is still free on itch.io. The planned base price on Steam is $13.99 USD, with regional pricing and frequent discounts.

How can I contact the team?

You can email us at contacto@amatismo.es for any question, suggestion, or AmaTisMo-related topic, not only FAQ-related questions.
